CITY BACKGROUND
STA. ROSA is a town in Laguna which is 40 km South of Metro Manila. Owing to
its proximity to the greater Manila area, it has absorbed most of the spill
over population of the metropolis. The growth f the municipality has been
expanded by the influx of the residents in the increasing number of newly
built subdivisions and residential estates in the area. In the latest
socio-economic profile, it is indicated that all of its 18 barangays are
urban.
The municipality has a population of approximately 168,000 in 1998. It is the
fifth most populated town of Laguna with a share of 8.5% in the provincial
total. Its land area, however, is only 3% of Laguna or 5.413 hectares. Its
population density is 4,300 persons per sqm.
The nearby municipalities of Sta. Rosa are Cabuyao, Biņan and San Pedro. Most
of the inhabitants are Tagalog speaking. Aside from the native Laguna
settlers, the populace is composed of the spill over masses coming from Metro
Manila.
SITE HIGHLIGHT:
The Sta. Rosa project is the biggest project to date of Mt. Zion. Owned by the
AFP-RSBS, a key player in real estate development and financial services, the
17.18 hectare property located at Malitlit Road, Brgy. Dita, Sta. Rosa, Laguna
promises to become a major contender in the turf of competition among various
memorial parks that abound within the nearby localities.
Mt. Zion Sta. Rosa also serves as alternative choice to prospective buyers in
the metropolis because of its proximity to the Manila. The municipality is
presently the choice of location of residential subdivisions that cater to the
housing needs of the burgeoning middle class population of the province of
Laguna an the Greater Manila area. The site is flood free and accessible both
to public and private transportation.
